Our Roots

Miki & Diane Designs is a new quilting, knitting, and crafting pattern design company.  We started in August 2006 and are really enjoying the process.

Diane and I have known each other for a few years through our shared love of quilting.  We are also in a small quilting group with Bette Strugg and Jackie Gordon called the Fab Four that started in early 2006.  Our group meets about once a month, with our machines, for a long day for sewing, food, and fun.  After the first few meetings Diane and I realized that our talents and skills were a good fit.  Diane planted the seed when she said, “I’m your other half.  If you ever want to go into business, let me know.”

Since that first discussion it has all fallen into place.  While it is alot of work to get the patterns ready for market, it has never felt forced.  Diane’s creativity and organizational skills bring my scattered ideas into focus.  I’m grateful for that and am looking at defining the next chapter of my life with my friend and business partner, Diane.
